Punta del Monte
We invite you to experience a tour of Punta del Monte, the headquarters to the H. Yturria historical ranch. Punta del Monte has been in the Yturria family for seven generations. This beautiful piece of land hosts free ranging nilgai antelope, Grants’ zebra, scimitar horned Oryx, Kafue lechwe, eland, kudu, waterbuck, impala, sable, roan, blackbuck antelope and feral hogs. Their native populations include dove, quail, waterfowl, coyotes, bobcats, white-tailed deer, wild turkey, javelina, and various other wildlife species. Punta del Monte hosts a network of watering holes that nurture wildlife in times of drought along swaths of brush land, while corridors of pristine habitat offer food and shelter to endangered wildlife including the ocelot. The Yturria family has a 150-year attachment to their ranch land…it is their heritage. The family has been dedicated to being good stewards of the land and believes they take care of the land not only for themselves, but for all of Texas.
